Senior Account Executive (Markham, ON)
Our nineteen year old company is hiring a Senior Account Executive based in our head office in Markham, Ontario. We are a wholesaler of a natural health line to retailers across Canada and USA. Our customers are mainly health food stores and home health care stores.
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years inside/outside sales experience with demonstrated achievement in increasing sales with existing accounts as well as developing new accounts.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role is responsible for increasing sales with new and established accounts in the USA.
We will give preference to applicants that have an interest in natural health products and alternative therapies. You must believe in our products in order to be successful in selling them.
Candidate must have a driver's license and able and willing to travel to USA for a maximum of 20 days per year to attend trade shows and demo days. Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not essential.
Primary duties & responsibilities:
Keep in regular, scheduled contact with existing accounts to increase sales.
Respond to new account inquiry leads and follow up.
Develop a plan, prepare a list for potential new accounts.
Making connections to new clients using cold calls, e-mails, research & networking.
Working with major retailers to set up yearly programs.
Increasing visibility on Facebook & Twitter. Keeping an active blog.
Required Skills:
Minimum 3 years experience in sales
Excellent customer service abilities
Results driven & sales focused
Excellent computer and social networking skills
Demonstrated history of closing and increasing sales in previous positions.
Great telephone manor and in person selling skills
Assertive, action-oriented, results-oriented, closing techniques.
Bilingual, English/Spanish or English/French preferred but not essential
Sales skills:
Experience in the generation of sales revenue through new account development
Demonstrated history of closing and increasing sales in previous positions.
Top performer in your previous position
High energy, self motivated and persistent
Excellent and persuasive oral and written communication skills
Positive, upbeat and passionate personality
Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, superior time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
