Project Manager (Toronto)
We are: A growing web agency located in Liberty Village, full of super talented, smart, nice people. Our handful of developers and designers work independently on a high volume of diverse client work, in an agile, fast-paced environment. Projects vary from fun, creative microsites, to large scale web and mobile (iPhone/iPad) applications. Our small company works with one of Canada's largest telecommunications companies, a major global publishing company, and one of the nation's largest insurance and financial services providers. We also work with a few great start-ups. Our clients appreciate our expediency, the quality of our work, and the ideas we bring to the table.
You are: A super talented, smart, nice person. You are a strong manager with a diverse background in the online world. You may have worked as a project manager or coordinator, web marketer, designer, writer, or developer.
You're probably reading this because you need more of a challenge, or you feel like all of your talent is being stifled in a team filled with managers who don't quite "get" the online world. You want to work with smarter, better web people who support you and deliver the project with outstanding results. You love working directly with clients, coming up with solutions for complex marketing and e-commerce challenges. You want ownership on projects and love the challenge of managing timelines and resources. You want to enjoy what you do, where you do it, and go home with a sense of pride in your work.
We're looking for someone with:
Strong project management and coordination skills; you will need to make sense of projects with few requirements and little direction provided.
Good sense of user experience; you can put together sketches or convey concepts to a project team or client with ease.
Excellent communication skills; you will be talking directly to our clients, and also managing our project teams. You speak client, and geek.
The ability to multitask; you'll likely wear a few different hats across projects. You may have to write copy, be an art director, be an analyst, be a babysitter.
Client-facing skills and strong leadership and management abilities; you can say 'no' to a client but make it seem like you're saying 'yes'.
Process and workflow mastery; you recognize process problems and strive to create solutions to help our team and our clients to work better together.
Fluency in Spanish would be ideal.
We want to talk to you if: You're a resourceful, dedicated and talented producer.
Simply send us your best single work example -- tell us your role on the project, and what you loved about it. Describe your ideal work day, and we'll see if it matches what we can provide (in addition to a shiny new Mac, a cool loft space, and maybe a beer, if you're lucky). Oh, and a resume is also necessary.
